Cracker Jack

Once a year Grandpa Jack comes to see the kids (kids include Jason when his dad is around). He came to spend Christmas and New Year with us. This was his first chance to lay eyes on Brooke. It was totally love at first sight between these two.
We kept pretty busy during his two week visit. We went to Crackerjax's family fun park
Jack was happy to hold her all the time.

We did go carts. I am proud of the run where I passed 10 others... :)

Grandpa sprung the dough for T.J. to do the bungee cords.
Jack did some practicing for when Brooke starts dating.
We celebrated Jason's 35th Birthday on Christmas Eve with our traditional birthday dinner at Olive Garden. Poor Jason and his Christmas Eve birthday. At least while eating we celebrated his first blood nephew being born on the same day, welcome to the family Edmond. You and Uncle Jason will swap many stories about why it is boring to have a Christmas birthday.
Then we drove around to look at Christmas lights. One house in our area does a big show 20 minute show, it is a real joy.

Jack was a huge help while he was here. He kept taking out my garbage, emptying the dishwasher, changing Brooke's diapers, sweeping the floor, and play with the kids. Eric got good at grunting while pointing in the air to indicate he wanted to do this.

To celebrate the new year, Eric was introduced to the world of poppers. If they didn't pop when he threw them, he quickly learned to step on them. It was so cold after the popper Eric had to cuddle up for warmth. We had a nice steak dinner for New Year Eve.
The day after we went to hang out at Cabela's. It was fun to look around, and eat Buffalo Burgers. Eric really took to the fish tanks and the shooting gallery.
Afterwards Jack treated us to Cheesecake factory. Needless to say I think I gained more weight during Christmas time then I did with my pregnancy with Brooke.

We all miss Grandpa Jack and hope he will come back soon to visit. Eric needs tossing, and Brooke needs a new diaper.
