Aba

When you have a young child in the house, they tend to come up with their own language. They try to speak properly but just miss things by a hair. What is funny is how these words tend to become a part of your regular language.

Tyler for example called me Jeep when he was 2. That was as close to Jeanne as he could get. We still use the word Fisk for fix as he'd say. Badu is a family word for I love you too, another Tylerism.

Now Eric has added to our family language. Aba. I am fairly sure this stands for "Good Boy" which is what we say when he does something well. If he obeys a request well we will applaud and say good boy. Now Eric will say Aba and clap when he's happy with something.

Are we the only ones who adapt these toddler words into our life?
